We're as passionate about riding as we are about producing an environmentally sustainable bike. Each Bjorn frame is produced using 60% recycled stainless steel and all the tubes are cut with diamond wire to minimize waste. 70% recycled alloy forks are painted with eco-friendly paint and decals. All frames are handmade in Taiwan, packaged in 100% recycled cardboard boxes and use no plastic packing materials. They are then shipped by sea in order to heavily reduce on carbon emissions and we then offset any emissions that are an unavoidable result of manufacturing and shipping.
We not only wanted a more sustainably produced bike, but also a simpler and more versatile one with each frame being a starting place where riders can then create a build to suit their needs and personalities. The bjorn is a capable work commuter, fun Sunday city ripper, bikepacking rig or gravel racing machine. It's designed to handle all the harsh surface conditions you can throw at it allowing you to link your backyard community trails with pavement.
Our geometry design uses a shorter stem than the average bike combined with a longer top tube. The result is the same reach as a conventional frame but more stability from the slacker headtube angle.
